Summer Camps
Our camps offer the experience of owning and caring for your own horse or pony as well as the opportunity to develop riding skills in a fun and friendly environment. Each day the group will catch and bring in the horses/ponies they are using that day, prepare them for riding and turn them out at the end of the day.

Lead Rein and Level 1: Monday 3rd to Tuesday 4th August
Practical training will be given on:
- how to check horses over for injuries and general wellbeing
- picking out feet, grooming and tacking up
- mucking out and preparing stables for the next day
- washing down a horse after riding
Stable management theory – learn how to care for a pony (feeding, grooming, pony health and wellbeing)
Riding sessions – may include flat work, pole work, introduction to jumping and the opportunity for a short ride out.
9.00 – 15.00, £375 per child
Level 2 to 3: Monday 17th – Tuesday 18th August
Practical training will be given on:
- how to check horses over for injuries and general wellbeing
- picking out feet, grooming and tacking up
- mucking out and preparing stables for the next day
- washing down a horse after riding in the heat
- preparing a horse for a show
- walking as SJ course
Stable management theory – learn how to care for a pony (feeding, grooming, pony health and wellbeing)
Riding sessions – may include riding a dressage test, how to a jump course, pole work, lateral work and the option of a hack.
9.00 – 15.00, £385 per child
Monday 24th August

- washing down a horse after riding

Riding sessions – flat work and jumping sessions
