Half Term Events at Barton End
(Monday 26 – Friday 30 October)

This half term, Barton End is offering a great range of activities for riders of every level. We’ll be running pole clinics, jumping lessons and our popular saddle clubs, with sessions designed to suit everyone from complete beginners to more competent riders looking to sharpen their skills. It’s the perfect way to spend the holidays in the saddle, building confidence and having fun in a friendly, supportive environment.

Pole Clinic ( Level 1 – Level 2)

This one-hour session will help novice riders build confidence, balance and control while learning how to safely ride their horse over poles through fun, simple exercises.

12.00 – 13.00 £70 per child or £80 per adult

Pole Clinic ( Level 2 and above)

This one-hour session will focus on improving precision, rhythm, balance and control through challenging pole exercises designed to develop your horse’s responsiveness and your riding skills.

13.00 – 12.00 £70 per child or £80 per adult

Mini Saddle Club ( LR –  Level 1)

A one-hour children’s lesson, split between 30 minutes of riding and 30 minutes of grooming.  This provides a fun and educational introduction to horse care while developing confidence, balance, riding skills, responsibility and a positive bond with the horse. 

13.00 – 14.00 £50 per child

Mini Saddle Club ( LR –  Level 1)

A one-hour children’s lesson, split between 30 minutes of riding and 30 minutes of grooming.  This provides a fun and educational introduction to horse care while developing confidence, balance, riding skills, responsibility and a positive bond with the horse. 

11.00 – 12.00 £50 per child

Introduction to Jumping ( Level 2 and Level 3)

A one-hour introduction to jumping lesson provides riders with a fun and confidence-building introduction to jumping, developing their position, balance, rhythm and control while learning the basics of approaching and safely riding over small fences. 

13.30 – 14.30 £75 per child or £85 per adult

A one-hour children’s lesson, split between 30 minutes of riding and 30 minutes of grooming.  This provides a fun and educational introduction to horse care while developing confidence, balance, riding skills, responsibility and a positive bond with the horse. 

14.30 – 15.30 £50 per child

Jumping Workshop ( Level 3 and above)

A one-hour jumping lesson for riders with some jumping experiences who wish to focus on developing confidence, accuracy, rhythm and technique.  Designed to improve the rider’s position, control and ability to approach and ride a variety of fences. 

16.00 – 17.00 £75 per child or £85 per adult

Saddle Club ( LR – Level 1)

A 1.5-hour children’s session, combining 45 minutes of riding with 45 minutes of stable management.  This is a fun and educational experience that develops riding skills, confidence and balance, while teaching children essential horse care, stable routines, responsibility and safe handling. 

10.00 – 11.00, £65 per person

Mini Saddle Club ( LR – Level 1)

A one-hour children’s session, combining 30 minutes of grooming with a 30-minute pony ride.  Providing a fun and gentle introduction to horses, helping children build confidence, learn basic horse care and develop a positive bond with their pony. 

11.30 – 12.30, £45 per child

 

Saddle Club ( LR – Level 1)

A 1.5-hour children’s session, combining 45 minutes of riding with 45 minutes of stable management.  This is a fun and educational experience that develops riding skills, confidence and balance, while teaching children essential horse care, stable routines, responsibility and safe handling. 

10.30 – 12.00, £65 per person
